From Mana Pass to Rimkhim — ride the untamed Himalayas
Seven days from Rishikesh to the legendary Mana Pass and the remote Niti valley — Badrinath, Mana village, Malari, Lapthal and Geldum on Uttarakhand’s Indo-Tibet border roads.
The expedition
Embark on an extraordinary Himalayan motorcycle expedition to the legendary Mana Pass and the remote Niti valley, two of Uttarakhand’s most spectacular border regions. Ride through ancient villages, sacred Himalayan landscapes, military roads and breathtaking high-altitude terrain while experiencing the unmatched thrill of exploring India’s last villages before the Tibet border.
Fully guided by Great Indian Rides, with altitudes above 5,600 m (18,400 ft) on the ride towards Mana Pass, subject to permits and road conditions.
Important: this trip includes a few long stages. First aid and transfer to the nearest medical centre are provided by our support vehicle, as helicopters and ambulances are rarely available. Phone coverage is limited and satellite phones are restricted, so contacting emergency services can be difficult. As on any mountain route, road quality and difficulty depend heavily on current and recent weather.
Who is this ride for?

Ride towards one of India’s highest motorable military roads, at about 5,610 m (subject to permits and road conditions).
